Arrluk is the Alaskan Eskimo word for Killer Whale. The name is appropriate for our 48.5 Ft. Kadey Krogen "Whaleback" pilot-house trawler. While the adventure, or Whale of a 'tale,' began in early 2011 with the selection and purchase of Arrluk, our blog begins with the family adventure of moving her from Portsmouth, VA to her eventual home in Puget Sound Washington, via the Bahamas,Jamaica and the Panama Canal.
